The Mauer 8 and 11 lever – ULTRA GUIDE^© Pick and Plot magnetic charts. These locks are one of the most common class B double bitted safe locks fitted around the world. Mauer Variator A 70091 has 8 levers, and the Variator B and Praetor B have 11 levers with only the control lever sprung.  This makes picking these locks quite tricky and the process needs accurate plotting to enable confidence in your picking to open.

NB, Please note these charts are set up for the 11 lever version of the lock however, if you are picking open the Mauer Variator A 8 lever lock then just plot to either 1 to 8 or 2 to 9 depending on how your clicker system is set up.

Our ULTRA GUIDE^© gives you the information you need to set the levers at specific known heights of the true gates. The ability to place the levers acurately enables the picker to lock up the levers at the set heights needed to identify the order of picking.

Brought to you as a complete pack, simply pop the guide over the keyway and insert your pick with a pointer on, as you move through the lock you can use the charts to mark off the numbers to recall the sequence.

We have included two decoding charts marked up from 1 to 10 and 2 to 11 depending on how your clicker has been marked up. We have seen both types. Sequences are then plotted by using the reusable magnetic markers or your white board marker pen. Being able to slide the markers around the charts makes the process of identifying the levers cleaner as you progress through the picking order.
